On December 05, 2003, a friend at my wifes office passed away unexpectedly. We weren't "best friends" but when we did get the chance to catch up with one another, he always greeted me with a quick handshake and smile. He was a great guy and will be missed by alot of people. Scott played the guitar and I was asked to play acoustic at the graveside service. He was also a big Hendrix fan so I knew that I had to play "Angel" for him. If you haven't heard this song in a while, take the time to listen. It's hard to find words to comfort someone when something tragic like this happens but Hendrix gives us a glimpse of hope. I also decided on playing "Fragile" by Sting and another song by Hendrix, "Little Wing". It was a great honor to do this for Scott and his family. A note from Victoria Walton (my wife): "Scott was a great person. It's rare to find someone that can touch so many lives in such a short time. He will always be remembered for his smile, his laugh, his pranks, and his willingness to help others. I'm glad that I had the chance to know him, I just wish I could have known him a little longer.
